I just published a hub and while I was writing it I noticed I misspelled a word at the very beginning and now a word in the url is misspelled. I changed the spelling in the title thinking that would also change the spelling in the url but it didn't. Is there anyway to fix this or do I just have to live with it. Thanks so much all.
I'm not sure if you can edit the URL. However, you could just start a new hub with the correct spelling in the URL, and then transfer all the info over via copy and paste. After that delete the misspelled one.
Since you just published it and you don't want to leave the misspelled word in the URL then just start a new hub with the correct url and move everything over to it and delete the old one.
I wouldn't leave it as misspelled because it wouldn't look good for people searching for expert advice if the expert can't get the word right...lol (even though typos happen)
Your hub hasn't been published long enough to gain anything in the search engines so you would BENEFIT from republishing.
Thanks so much all of you for your advice. I will start a new hub and fix that mess. I love HubPages.

I heard that urls are permanent. To my chagrin, I just noticed a misspelled word in one of my hub urls as I was surfing stats in GA. How bad is this? Well, what makes it worse is that it's my hub about Women's Public Restrooms. Unfortunately, in the url, instead of "public" it says...

How come I can't see a misspelled word in my own Hubs, but I can spot one a mile away on someone else's Hubs? I read one today that had a word used incorrectly (could have two different meanings, but spelled the same). The Hub had about 25 comments, and no one had mentioned the word. I...

How can I fix the spelling on a URL?I tried asking this before, it seems to have disappeared (Twice). I have a word misspelled on my latest article's URL (It should be 'dormitory," not 'dormatory' ... yikes, how did I do that!) How can I fix that? I seem to be able to edit everything but...

I'm sure you folks are too smart to do this, but I just did! I misspelled the word "depression" in my latest Hub! Taught me a good lession: go slower. Now it's there and there is nothing I can do about the URL. I did edit the title to correct.
