Do you like to click on google ads?
Are you intended to do it occasionally just for the purpose to help increase the revenue of hub pages or the fellow hubbers?
I do click on the ads if something interests me. I also like knowing that someone is getting some benefit from my click.
Absolutely not, for several reasons.
First of all, the last thing I would want to do is to get fellow hubbers banned from HubPages, which is what will happen if I click on ads without a serious interest in buying.
Secondly, most of our revenue is in CPM, not PPC, so clicks make very little difference. Why risk getting ourselves and our friends banned from HubPages for a few cents or a few dollars.
Third, it is called fraud. I won't get into the legal issues, but, ethically, clicking on an ad to help someone make money is stealing. And what goes around comes around.
Fourth, I just don't find ads all that interesting.
Yes I understand the limitations exist there. However I asked if someone do it with the intention of helping someone but only when he finds something of his interest in google ads.
Sorry if I misunderstood. I've read several Q&A's on this. Some say no Hubber should ever click ads. I think one should strongly resist the temptation and, if one does, take a long time looking at the product & plan on buying. Don't get them
As far as I know Hubbers should not click on their own hubs but they can do it on other hubbers pages. However multiple clicks from same IP will lead to ban from google.
please type "hubbers click ads" in HP search & read Q&A. Extensive discussions of not clicking on anyone's ads at all, if you're a hubber.
No I dont click on ads not unless I want to read about something or if i am attracted to something. But it is against Adsense policy to click on them without wanting to know about it. Nor I want fellow hubbers to click on my adsense for no reason. Because if advertisers feel their money is being misused then advertisers might go away and CTR would fall drastically if there is less competition among advertisers.

Something just occured to me, not only are we writers here but we are ALSO CONSUMERS. I see nothing wrong with clicking on a fellow hubbers google ad if it's something we are interested in. I am getting the feeling that some people are afraid to do this for fear of reprisal for being click happy...

So, I've heard about click fraud, and I know not to click my own ads, but when it comes to friends and family, how broad does that go? Is there anyone in particular I should tell NOT to click the ads on my hubs?

I don't often moan but even I am getting a bit fed up of the 'waiting' period. I thought it was 24 hours? I have recently published a hub that, by the time the ads come up, everybody who is going to read it has read it, in other words any chance of ad clicks has disappeared. Please can you either...

I got into an interesting discussion on another thread, and thought it would make a good thread itself. The question of the day is how do you feel about other hubbers clicking on an ad in your hubs?Personally I really don't see a problem with it as long as the ad interests them from a good quality...
