Webmaster Tools - How exactly does this work?
Many people here talk about putting links to their blogs on Google and Bing webmaster tools. How in the world can you do this when you are not the owner of Hubpages? Everything I try to get publicity this way says that I must show that I am the owner of this site, or place some HTML in the Title or Head. Just had ta ask!
You are the "owner" of the subdomain, yourname.hubpages.com. That is what you link to Webmaster tools, not hubpages.com itself.
Thank you , but how do I prove that I "Own" it to the webmaster tool? It wants me to insert HTML in places that I'm not sure I can....or should? Just would like a quicky on how to use it so I don't get in trouble by pressing my bounds...Thanks again.
Thanks a lot Sapper, the link you provided cured it all. I kept getting denied but I didn't realize it would work with Google Analytics. Don't know why I didn't see it.
