How can one use Facebook to increase traffic to Hubs?

Can I start a Facebook page specific to hubs? Promote my hubs on my personal account? Is there a hub pages Facebook page somewhere and can we promote hubs through that?

That's a good question Karen. I know you can create a Facebook account or even post links to your hubs on your own Facebook wall. If there is a Facebook for hubpages I sure like to know because I have 5 likes on mine and that doesn't get me far smile.

There is a Hubpages Facebook page, you can find a link to it on Hubpages log-in page, I believe. I don't know if you can post your Hubs to it. I have a fan page on FAcebook for my writings, but I haven't had a lot of luck or activity with that, but I hear some people do. I have had some luck with friends and family that re-post my Hubs on Facebook. Most of my traffic, though, from Facebook comes from a FAcebook group whose members like one of the subject matters I write about. I would say, from my experience, Facebook groups are good for driving some traffic to Hubs. I recently tried out Twitter, and the good thing about Twitter is you can use hashtags that people might follow and find your Hub. Edit: Sorry, the link to HP's Facebook page is there when you sign out; it's also on the blog, which you can get to through a link on the right hand side of your home page here.

Okay, so you can become a fan of the HP Facebook page through your account page too; the link's at the top.

I would love a good answer for this.  What I have done for other hubbers is share on facebook with many of my groups which gives them a new audience.  I try to do this about three times a week.  It is a win-win situation. It will give another person hundreds viewers ..at least exposure.

There are lots of ways you can do that. Two particularly come into mind.
One, set up a a facebook account if you already don't have one and add as many friends as possible. Then you can share links to your hubs on your wall and in your status updates.
Two, you can set up a Facebook page on the topics you commonly write on and publicize your page to your friend and friends' friends. Post links to your hubs on this page as well and hope for the best. You can also publicize your Facebook page to reach a wider audience by Facebook Ads, but it costs some money.
Oh, third, you can also set up a group and add as many friends as possible.

    I hope this helps.
