    Why do you personally ask questions in the QnA section of hubpages?

    Do you ask questions to find out information you really have little or no knowledge of? or

    Do you ask questions to take a survey or find out the opinions of others hubbers? or

    Do you ask questions to inspire mass communication or controversy? or

    Do you ask questions to make others think about or get interested in a specific topic? or

    Do you ask questions for the enjoyment of others? (riddles, brain teasers, etc.)? or

    Do you use answers (collective or individual) to your questions in hubs you create? or

    All or some of the above.

    Mainly to interact with other hubbers, sometimes as an informal poll or to gauge interest in a particular topic or issue. But mostly it's just fun.

    I like to ask questions for these reasons:

    * I want to gauge opinion - fresh ideas and comment could be a valuable resource material.
    * I need facts.
    * I want to interact and do my bit for HubPages.

    For example, I asked a question about Death Row in the US recently and got a fairly healthy reaction from people which I plan to use for a hub in the near future. It started a debate on the pros and cons which I hadn't planned to happen!

    Asking questions also gives others who wouldn't ordinarily participate the opportunity to chip in as well as attracting those who are genuinely interested in the topic. I've become a follower of several hubbers who have answered my questions - because of the quality of their response.

    Asking questions is a natural mental process whether in HubPages, Yahoo answers or in any situation where people socialize whether virtually or physically. If we notice it, we even ask ourselves some questions, some of those we already know the answers or we just need some clarifications. For me, I ask questions in HubPages because here is a chance to know what other people would say about the subject that comes up in my mind in a given moment.

    To mentally stimulate others and to get them thinking.  Also, am curious as to others' opinions and/or insights regarding the subject at hand.
