How do you handle constant negative comments even though you have provided all the stats and facts?

As humans, sometimes we might feel the urge to greet negative comments in a negative manner!

I handle them by saying to myself I know i'm right and they know i'm right they just want to be heard. The way I look at it is that there are no right or wrong answers when it comes to us (human beings) only opinions. Even if it is a simple question and the answer is generally wide spread and overwhelming proof (facts, graphs, people, formula, etc....)is given to support it there are always people who will challenge it. Now we all have the urge to respond in the same manner that was given to us in the first place this is true but we as individuals have to figure out how exactly to deal with it. I just remain calm, cool and collective listen to their opinion (answer) and let the facts speak for themselves, wish I could say it always works out that way but it's not perfect. Unless that is you decide to perfect passiveness.

Laugh. I am guessing you wrote something someone found offensive and now a bunch of people are commenting? The thing about that is if you wrote something you knew would be controversial or a hot button issue just realize the negative comments mean you got someone's attention! You're just doing your job at that point. You cannot change their minds or behavior so just shake your head in pity and laugh at their obvious lack of intellectual facilities. I wrote a whole article about negative comments, Sometimes Hatemail is Fun, perhaps you'd find out how to get this mind set from it.

If you are talking about in real life... well... just know there will always be far more frustrating individuals than not. Find some who are not and relish their company when you have it. This is the key to sanity in an increasingly numb world. Best wishes to you.

PS by responding in a cordial emotionally stable manner you are showing you are the better person. This probably annoys the badly behaved and definitely makes  you look good to people reading the comments! Cheers!

Smile and let things be! When I knew very well that I have provided all facts yet still getting the same negative comments, then it just proves how different minds work. I agree that there's nothing I can do to change some people's mind; so if to be strongly negative is what would make them feel good, then I'd respect that.  Happy Valentine mackyi:smile

Thanks, my friend. I agree, sometimes you have to allow people to keep leaning on their own misunderstanding!
