How do I disable adsense ads so hubpage ad program is enabled?

I previously asked what was better, adsense or hubpage ads for earnings and I want to disable Google ads and try Hubpage ads for a month on their own...how can I set this up?

Don't disable adsense as you need it to use HP Ads. Here are the instructions about signing up to use HP ads: http://hubpages.com/faq/#hpads-signup

I've never turned HP ads off myself but you'd need to go here https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/ and then click the configure button. There will then be an option to deactivate.

See the link I posted and read the whole section. For most hubbers, HP ads perform better than adsense alone.

Ahh and there goes my last hope of not being beholden to Google for extra cash on HP.

I believe both are integrated. You can't just on and off either one.

    Hope this helps!

You can use adsense on its own if you like, but you cannot use HP ads without adsense. Some people turn off HP ads for a period of time to see which system earns them the most, so yes it can be turned off and back on again.

We can't run HP ads without having Google Ads. Both are linked.

On another question I asked prior to this one I am being told by several people that they turn off their adsense accounts because they earn more with HP ads alone. If it's not possible, what are they referring to?
