Does anyone in here actually make money from Amazon Affiliate program?  If so please let me know how you are doing this.

For Amazon, it's all about relevance of products and finding buyers who are in a buying mood.

I don't make a whole lot from Amazon Associates on HubPages, but on one of my own blogs I do. I write posts that compare two products. I include links to purchase those products on Amazon (text links and iframe image links).

Since the links are directly relevant to the information the people are looking for, and because the people are already in a buying mood, I get a decent amount of click throughs to Amazon (5% to 10%) and a decent amount of conversions to purchases (2% to 5% of those clicks). As long as the traffic continues to be targeted (i.e. people that want to read about those products), then increasing traffic will ultimately increase click throughs and conversions.

In short, the keys to success are a) relevance of items, b) reader's purpose, and c) traffic.

It all depends on what you're peddling. I mostly write about music and movies, and usually folks aren't buying. In a year here on HP, I've made about $15 on Amazon products, but I don't really advertise anything that's worth over about $10. I'm a terrible capitalist.

To be honest, most folks who are making big bucks aren't going to tell you how they're doing it. wink

I actually just found a very informative hub on here after doing a search.  Don't be so pessimistic.  smile

I'm already planning on a way to make it work for me.

Most of the time I'm not, but trade secrets are often very closely guarded. Good luck with making it work. smile

Brian's answer is excellent. In addition, you might want to look at an answer I wrote to a highly related question a few days ago about the way I've made Amazon work for me on HP. http://yarddog2k.hubpages.com/question/ … ur-opinion

I also have a hub about my tips for making money with amazon on my profile carousel.

I have yet to make any money from Amazon Associates.  I also have yet to see some results from eBay, too.
