Yeah us!  By tomorrow a.m. we will have 7 - 10 inches of beautiful white snow with 40 mile an hour winds and -30 windchill.  Brrrr.  Hubby has a flight to Denver (an interview) at 9 a.m. - hope the airport stays ON TIME.  Looks like Iowa, Southern Mn & Southern WI are in for a Blizzard this afternoon and tonight.

Here is to a white Christmas! smile

I doubt it, DOT was out LAST night pre-treating the roads.  The plows will run all night long to stay on top of the snow.

Oh - Crazd...California called again after 6 weeks, he has an interview out there too now!

I'm with UW. Snow snow snow - I love the stuff. I'd happily live year round surrounded by it. Which would be handy because I'm not know for my sense of fashion. I'd enjoy living in snow boots (I have a thing about knee socks too) and looking like a walking sleeping bag.

We need pictures Jane. Do come back and post some if the snow arrives. Please smile

Frogdropping, I have yet figure out how to upload pictures to the forum, but maybe I'll do a quick picture hub.

They've just now issued a no travel for south of us and encouraging people here in town to stay home if possible.

The picture thingy is easy enough, once you figure it out.

Easiest way is to upload your pic to something like photobucket or another similar piccy site. Then right click on it and copy then paste the url into the space between: which is found below right in 'formatting tips'.

    Like this:

    http:///i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv22/frogdropping/007-1.jpg?t=1260314685

    Which produces the picture below.

    http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv22/frogdropping/007-1.jpg?t=1260314685

Me at the beach. Anyway, that's how to put your pic up. Or maybe there's another way and someone else will come along and explain it smile

But a hub would be even more fab - so my fingers are crossed for snow over at your place!

Dudes!  This is wrong.  I'm in southwest Iowa at the heart of the blizzard.  I am short enought let alone having to walk in drifts well over my head.  Stupid me thought, I hate the snow yet I still live in Iowa.

Hey sneakorocksolid!  It would be my undivided pleasure to send you a snowflake or two down your way.  Do you prefer UPS or snow plow?   : )

I think we should high jack a snow plow and bring him some good stuff!

Years ago I used to drive semi tractor trailers.  You and I could grab one and easily fill it with lush fluffy white snow and have ourselves a little road trip down south.  However, sneakorocksolid, we must insist on some down right southern home style cooking when we get there.  Blizzards make us hungry up here.

Its a plan, a big orange snow plow truck, and we are off to go eat at sneakorocksolid's house!  Hope I can get out of my driveway to high jack that truck lol

Agreed.  I already got stuck four times today in my '08 Nissan Sentra.  Good car but no weight.  I need a truck.  How 'bout cajun style fish at sneako's?

We got three inches here in east Tennessee, last weekend out of nowhere. It was glorious! I broke out the sled and had a good time. Now its gone and all we'll get from this system is 3 inches of rain. I miss living in Colorado and places where there is an actual winter every year. sad

My dear friend, I happen to have enough room right here in southwest Iowa to accomodate you and your passion for fluffy white snow.

Discerning from todays snow activity it is apparent that the gods and all the angelic hosts have a serious dandruff problem.  We shall place upon the alter a keg of Head & Shoulders.

Back when I drove for Werner I got stuck in Laramie Wyoming for 6 days because of snow, always loved how it blew sideways out there, then magically stopped once you left town then started again when you needed to take a leak.

We most certainly have the snow! I think they said we have about 10" on the ground with another 4" to fall in the next few hours. By afternoon the winds will be 25-50 mph and also temps will drop to below zero!

I think it is a good day to bake cookies and stay put smile

It is cold outside and barely over the freezing mark. We got about 4 inches of snow last night before it turned to sleet ant then rain. Now it's slush and very slick. I am in the Eastern Panhandle of WV.  Whatever you all get in the midwest we most likely get a day later.

I heard it snowed in NYC last night but all I woke up to was freezing rain this morning. No slush, no ice. My hubby said I should have been up at 3:30 in the morning (he was) - there was about 2-3 inches outside. I got up at 6am and there was maybe an 1/4 inch on part of my windshield. Wouldn't have believed him that it snowed if I hadn't seen that.

NYC public schools never get snow days - there would have to be 12 inches out there for them to close. We're lucky if we get a delayed opening at 10:00am.

Yuck. We got about three inches of snow, followed by tons of rain. It's a whole lot of muck and slush out there!

Well we're getting some, had a little yesterday, but it is colder than Sarah Palin's butt up in Alaska and windy too! Some of my outdoor Christmas decorations are messed up too.
