Why is HP recommending removing sign up link?
Once upon a time it was suggested we add sign up links to our hubs because it encouraged people to sign up AND we got credit if they did, I believe in the form of a cash payment. Now I'm seeing messages from HP that say it is recommended that you remove all sign up links....any ideas on this subject? Should they stay or should they go?
I bet it has nothing to do with the invite or incentive. I think it has to do with the efforts to decrease the number of links on the site that are causing us to be penalized by Google. Just a hunch, could be wrong.
Yes, I agree, as this issue of so many ads and links may be bringing down the site. I did not notice the recommendation from HP yet, so I will have to go back and remove those, as I just did one. Thanks Mary, too!
Interesting Jan and Faith....guess I'd better start removing them as well.

Do you still put a tracker link in your hubs?In all of my hubs I have a link in a blue box with a referral tracker with a heading offering to sign up with Hubpages to write articles. Is this still a good idea for new hubs since all the changes?
