CAN'T do that.  Personal attacks of hubbers is disallowed and prohibited in HubPages.  We are all familiar with such people.

Yes, there are some strong malcontents in the forums.  They receive their power by belittling and harassing others.  It is quite sad it seems.  Yes, there are adults who sadly have not progressed beyond the junior high and high school stages.  They are inwardly insecure little souls and they refuse to acknowledge this reality. Their viciousness and general state of being abysmally malcontent are the reasons why most hubbers prefer the question/answer section and avoid the forums for dear life.  The Religion and Philosphy Forum is where verbal bullying can become quite vituperative and viperish in nature.

That is one reason I do not go to the forum anymore. Some threads are great for exchanging ideas, which is what forums are supposed to be but many have become ideological sparring grounds that I have no time for. I am perfectly capable of deciphering reality for myself.

Some forums are quite lovely where there is an intelligent exchange of ideas.  Other forums, notably the Religion and Philosophy Forums can be quite deadly.  It is natural for some in such forums to vehemently attack those who they disagree with.

So sad in a community of writers who are mostly brilliant and could really support each other's efforts in productive ways. For the most part, I've only seen a handful. Most hubbers are very nice and extremely helpful. I have learned how to exit when it gets crazy. I recall finding it a little unsettling when I first joined HP but have since learned to accept that some hubbers' intent may not be exactly what it appears. Some are straight forward in a caustic kind of way, while others are cryptic and often misunderstood. Most of the time, there is a valid message or bit of advice that can be weeded out minus the delivery.

This is why I try to avoid all forums.  The same kind of disrespect follows most of them. I'm not taking any chances to even look at the forums here. So far most members have been fairly friendly to me and I hope to keep it this way. A critique or a rude person are two different things. Insults are not needed to form an opinion.
