I have a two-part question but parts are for the same reason:
1) I was looking at Google Analytics and I did not know what the subdomain was?
2) When they asked about the website, is HP my website or do I enter a different one?
As far as I know HP is a Global Website with a dedicated 16 team members at hubpages.com/about/team . It covers part of 2nd part of your question. While registering the domain name there are three parts in it. For example www.hubpages.com is the full URL consisting of :
www - the sub domain name - in your case it is theexaminer-1
hubpages - this is the real domain name registered.
.com - this is Top Level Domain. Top Level Domains TLD's are also of two types gTLDS's (Generic) like .com, .net, .tv and ccTLD (Country Code) like .in for India, .uk of UK.
Every member at HP is provided subdomain like theexaminer-1.hubpages.com

I am working on one of my new websites - and I want to link back to my hubs here. How many times is this OK to do on a website page before it is overkill?

I understand how adsense works, but I thought it only counted if you got your reader to click an ad. HubPages states it as if the reader just has to look at the add, not click it. If I buy a domain can I forward it to...
