Can I earn even a little cash by writing poetry on HubPages and does my hub score affect this?
I am new to HubPages and I'm publishing poetry. Is it possible to earn even a little cash and if so, does my hub score affect this?
Hubscore has no influence on earnings. It's based on a mechanical set of parameters like word count, spelling and grammar. So, to earn money, you need a lot of traffic. That said, it is possible to make money with poetry, but advertising that poetry would be entirely on you. Since people using search engines wouldn't know to look for your poems, you would get virtually no traffic from them. So your ability to make money would be tied to how much you share and promote your poems on other, related, websites and social networks.
In my experience it is possible to earn a little money from your poems but you have to work hard to promote them - share them on social sites for example, support other poets who will give feedback and shares and be sure to make your poetry hub worthwhile by showcasing your best poems and adding an introduction and perhaps some opinion on poetry.
I try to combine poems I've written over the years and put them all onto one hub. This strategy works quite well for me.
I wish you all the best.

I have had a few poems receive non-featured status. I've been able to revive them by adding a couple of text paragraphs to expound on the topic of the poem while maintaining the integrity of the poem. It lengthens the hub, extending its survival, and therefore, making it more searchable. I've also...

I just wrote a hub on making money with HubPages but wanted to make sure it's ok before publishing. I know you are not supposed to mention what you are earning on HP, but is it ok to use titles like 'How To Earn $1000 per month on Hubpages', or 'How To Make $1 Million On Hubpages'? I don't...

Some hubbers at Hubpages tell me that they can earn $5000 in a month, I do really not think so. Although I know we can earn money by writing hubs at Hubpages and put ads with our Google Adsense, Ebay affiliate program and Amazon associate program accounts, I still can not believe it. Could it be...

Every time I try and cut and paste my poetry into a hub it gets hacked into oblivion by the system that inserts advertisements and completely destroys the flow i worked so hard to perfect by obliterating the structure -- most of my lines are too long and get cut in half and nothing looks like it...
