Some hubbers at Hubpages tell me that they can earn $5000 in a month, I do really not think so. Although I know we can earn money by writing hubs at Hubpages and put ads with our Google Adsense, Ebay affiliate program and Amazon associate program accounts, I still can not believe it. Could it be possible for you to earn more than &100 monthly?
Considering that the payout threshold is $50, and a lot of people are getting paid every month, $100 and change should be within reach.
It's that triple-digit income, here and on any website, that's hard to achieve. There's only a very small minority that get there.
Hm, your second paragraph contradicts your first!
Did you mean four figures instead of three?
Also, keep in mind that the payout threshold for Ad Sense is $100. "Ad Sense Only" people (those not using HP ads at all) are getting paid every month too.
Everyone doesn't rely only on ads, however, so anyone who puts it some effort with the other programs is likely to increase his earnings.
Jonathan, if you use both Adsense and Hubpage Ads it is possible to earn $100 or more on a monthly basis once you have a significant number of hubs on popular search terms and subjects. I am making payout every two months after two years of writing on hubpages. I am expecting to make payout every month after I add a few more hubs to my hubpage. Just keep writing and be patience it will happen sooner or later.
Oops, yes. I was thinking of triple zeroes, not triple digits. *wipes egg off face* Make that quadruple digits.
This is why I was a humanities major!
In my experience, most article-writing sites have a decent number of people making $100-500/month with a lot of articles and some knowledge of what works, and a very few of people out of thousands of active members hit on a niche, technique, combination of affiliate programs, and/or a sufficiently large "net" of articles to start pulling in more than $1000 a month.
I'm therefore willing to believe there's a couple people on Hubpages that really are making $5000/month, even post-Panda, but that's not the kind of numbers most of us should expect!
Thanks for the encouragement! I would love to make $100 a month. Still, it is kind of funny. I am actually getting addicted to Hubpages after only a few days. Somehow writing is therapeutic, and Hubpages set up is brilliant. I figure I should keep it slow and steady, and keep having fun. I'd like to believe if you enjoy what you are writing about you are more likely to succeed.
Sure. My current goal is $50 a month and I am almost there. So presumably 2-3 times more hubs would get me to $100. (Until the next random Google change).
IN THEORY, it is possible to make $5000 dollars on HubPages, however, more realistically anywhere from $50.00-$2000 a month (or nothing, if you do not treat it seriously or have terrible luck)
My goal would be to make at least 1000 dollars/month (came close last fall), but I am not making as much since Holidays. Plus, these new Google Algorithms are screwing everything up with traffic and earnings.
I think if anyone makes a lot on here (or similar sites) they should invest the money. Prob what a plan to do. I would like to get into the stock market.
When I say IN THEORY, I say that because articles can go "viral" or accumulate 1000s of views per day if they are HIGHLY SEARCHED, YOUR SEO IS GOOD FOR THOSE KEYWORDS, and online competition is not extremely high for the keywords used in your article etc..
And if you had several hubs getting hundred or thousands of views daily then 5000k is technically possible. But more often hubs only receive 0-50 views a day.
Also keep in mind that CPM will affect how much you make (regardless of traffic). If advertisers spend more, then you will make more every 1000 views.

I just wrote a hub on making money with HubPages but wanted to make sure it's ok before publishing. I know you are not supposed to mention what you are earning on HP, but is it ok to use titles like 'How To Earn $1000 per month on Hubpages', or 'How To Make $1 Million On Hubpages'? I don't...

Just found this website on while I was Googling. I used to write stories when I was in school, and later too. I love this scope and this platform. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Can I?I have a couple of smaller accounts. As Amazon currently operates, my earnings go into one pot. From what I can understand, that won't happen once HP take over my Amazon. Or am I wrong? If I'm not, why not? I am going to lose out as it is, and I can't see the separation of my HP accounts being...

How long did it take before you started earning $50 to $100 a month on Hubpages?I try not to think all too much about the earning part on Hubpages since I'm still new here (4 months), but when you're earning literally NO money at all... It's still a bit discouraging.
