Does Adsense Not Pay Properly for Viral Traffic?
Yesterday my girlfriend's website had a bit of a viral hit on stumbleupon, getting 13,000 visits in a day from them. She got 12 clicks on adsense ads, but apart from the first one they all seem to have paid just a couple of pence. Normally she gets a pretty good price per click.
I've noticed this before on sites which I own - when I get a sudden jump in traffic from any source (all legit, natural traffic) adsense pays virtually nothing. I'm wondering if they deliberately put very low paying ads on your site because they aren't sure about the quality of the traffic?
