Where are all of my old Hubpages buddies?
No one is familiar around here any more. Where have all of my Hub Buddies gone
Things change. Serious writers found that with the evolving practices at Hub they could no longer make enough money or build much recognition here. They moved on.
xanzacow- A lot of the Hubbers have moved much of their writing to other sites. This is mostly because of HPs new restrictions that demand more information-centric and thus more profitable Hubs for Google. Others, have, kept the information type works on HP and moved their creative works away. Both tend to read and comment less on their fellow Hubbers.
My problem is time. It just flies by. I wish I could spend hours on the hubs, like some do, and I so admire them for that.
But I don't have the clock hours to dive into the hubs 12 hours a day.
I do try to answer a couple questions a day, I love the questions.
My calendar is loaded with appointments which I cannot get out of.
Drives me nuts sometimes.
Attikos is also correct. Things do change. I have been on the hubs for over 2 years and have made almost zero progress. However, I have met so many fantastic writers ....a few are even friends...that money is not my purpose. If it were, I would leave it.
As busy as I am, answering the questions helps me keep up my writing skills. THAT is what is important to me...We, as writers need to write every day, even if only a few words.
I hope this helps, and I would not take it personally that hubbers seem to be disappearing.
Thanks for this great question, Blessings, Sparklea

HubPages' new policy of spreading out the pictures and rearranging hubs has made an absolute mess of so many of my pieces. It will take a lot of editing and re-writing and formatting for a large number of my...

I'm very happy with the results of the niche sites. It's a win-win for HubPages and writers like myself. But I'm a bit curious about the process for choosing Hubs that go on those sites. One of my most successful Hubs on...
