Yes it has an effect on your hubpages earnings program but not in a negative way. You can increase the chances of earning more by joining the Hubpages earning program which lets you earn through Hubpages Ads, Amazon and Ebay affiliate sales besides the regular Google AdSense Ads. You are of-course not prohibited to go with both at the same time.
