With proper SEO done for each; Is there an advantage to most hubs staying in a category?
I want to build a bunch of hubs. I am worried staying in one category can be troublesome traffic wise. My idea is to write a small section of hubs for each major holiday (along with a few misc evergreen hubs).
Is this a good idea to be seasonal? Or should I stick to a single category?
It depends how many articles are you going to make. If you are aiming for maybe ten or more related to Halloween, it is probably best to make a special profile for Halloween only and interlink the articles. Then the same thing for Christmas etc. Then a profile with evergreen stuff, low competition and high traffic (probably without real earning potential), just to interlink everything together.
If you are aiming to get some juice from HubPages, you will need to find categories with good authority and low competition. Transfer this juice to your hubs with earning potential.
I know few hubbers who are very successful with seasonal hubs and they have them on separate profiles. Categories are less important.
I hope this helps.
