Editors Choice - to Choose or Not to Choose!
About one third of my Hubs are Editors Choice Hubs. I am wondering if I should opt out at this late stage of the day?
Are Editors choice hubs still being awarded and if so is there any evidence to say that they are performing better or worse than those without this status?
I've heard stats both ways, Sally, as being improved and hindered in traffic from the Editor's Choice feature. I had disengaged for awhile, but then read an explanation from Hub Pages team about how Editor's Choice do get special treatment, supposedly exposing the hubs in this category to greater traffic potentiial. So, I reactivated my hubs and have left them that way ever since.
In considering my answer, be aware of two things: 1) I'm not the best income earner here at Hub Pages, and 2) when you reinstate the Editor's Choice feature, all the hubs that were listed that way return as Editor's Choices.
So, experiment as your heart desires and let us know how you do.
Blessings!
It is a difficult decision but you make it a little easier when you say that the Editors Choice Hubs would be re-instated should I change my mind. My Editors Choice hubs are not performing as well as I think they should be at the moment.
Thank you.

I had a hub that was receiving around 1,300-1,500 views per day. It was chosen as Editor's Choice. It then dropped by about 1,000 views per day. I opted out of the program, but that hub is no longer showing in Google for the keywords that brought it all the traffic before EC messed it up. How can I...

This morning I stumbled over more than a couple of "Editor's Choice" Hubs which are blatantly using images they do not appear to have the rights to use. Since HP is pushing Editor's Choice as the very best of this site, so much so that they are giving people who opt into the program some...

Just curious, one of my hubs, selected as a hub of the day some time ago has been my top performing one for quite a while. However, it does seem odd to me that hubs of the day are not automatically selected as Editors Choice Hubs as well! Anyone else ever wondered why this is? If not, would...

HP Staff has made the decision to retire the Editor’s Choice program. Editor’s Choice articles were high-quality pieces that were hand-selected by staff to receive special recognition on HubPages. However, with the success of the HubPages Network Sites, we feel our resources are much better spent...

Now with all the fantastic hubs here, the likelihood that I'll be picked for Editor's Choice is pretty low.I've seen some scattered mention of how it works, but no definite clarity. So, for those of us who are new immigrants from Squidoo, and any other newbies, could you explain how it works.I can...
