I am curious as to why the "hubber score" goes up and down constantly?
Not that this issue affects my self-esteem, but I see my "hubber score" go up and down almost every time I log in and I wonder what causes the changes? For example, I was a 94 then 93 and I logged in this morning and was still a 93 and logged out to get a cup of tea and logged back in and am a 91. Why does this fluctuate so frequently?
it depends on your activities and the traffic flow to your hubs
I was wondering this same thing, since I just started writing my hubs about a week ago, I naturally have a lot of questions about hubpages. It's nice to know what those numbers mean. However, is that all they are there for, just to tell you how many people come to your page, or is there another use for them? Great question jrpierce!
Thanks Brittany, I've been on Hub page a long time and never gave it a thought, just this morning it went for 93 to 91 suddenly, which made me ask. I guess that is all it is for, I'm not sure how they base the metrics. Maybe someone will share.
I hope so, I would love to know. Nevertheless, it was a great question and did shed more light on the topic, at least for me. Thank you for asking.

I took a hiatus for awhile from Hub Pages! However, in the past week or so, I have added new hubs participated in forums, asked a question or two, participated with the Hub Hopper, have read some Hubs, yet my Hubber Score is lower than it was when I was doing nothing. I don't get it!

My Hubber Score has been very stable in the mid 90's (94 to 96) for at least a year. In the last few days since I published a new hub it has been dropping, and it is now down to 90. Also in the week since I published my new hub, I've been more active on HP with respect to getting comments and...

My Hubber score has stayed in one place for over a week. I have been on here a long time and I have never seen this. It usually moves up and down from day to day or from hour to hour. It's not moving at all.

For a good number of weeks my hubber score has hovered around the 100 mark. Two days ago it started falling, and as I write this, it is down to 89! If this keeps up, it will be 0 in a week! No rhyme or reason to it, but it leaves me wondering why this is happening. I know...

Every time I publish a hub, my hubber score goes down a point or sometimes two, and I would have thought the HP would want me to publish more hubs. But, I guess that is not the case. Maybe that is why so many hubbers are jumping ship.

I wish there was a way to turn it off. It goes up and down without reason, and it can be very distressing.
