Yes I know, many hate him. Yet perez Hilton celebrity blog makes somewhere around,,,oh,,, ballpark guess around $96,000 per month in advertising spots!!!!
You can check that out in his advertising links and by what ads are on there now. $4,000 per WEEK for only a 260 pixel high banner. Selling ads in a blogs sidebar is the dream of all bloggers.
If you get a popular blog with thousands of unique hits a day, you should directly charge for ads. Soon you can do nothing but charge for ad space and concentrate on good quality writing.
I already make a few hundred on ads per year. Per year, not month, I have a long way to go. But this just shows you how much you COULD make with a very popular blog.
he earns a lot blogging about other peoples lives hehe, gossip sells
