There is a significant drop in page views, more than 50%. Anyone else facing trouble?
Is it the holiday season or something else? I did my bit of editing, sharing etc. but it did not help!!!
Let's hope it's just a temporary drop Chitrangada but I think that over the last few months with so many changes on HP re quality through editing, plus the Google Panda influences, some writers have definitely felt the effects.
Perhaps you should check your Amazon capsules and other elements of each hub - HP and Google are cracking down on anything remotely spammy.
My page views are still pretty good - the pattern is one of weekend not so many, midweek many more - and I'm still writing new hubs occasionally so am not pessimistic.
What I have noticed however is some unpredictability in the page views. The system is becoming more volatile?
Anyway, I can only wish you well. Keep editing and raising the quality of your already interesting hubs.
Thank you Andrew Spacey, for your encouraging words and suggestions! Most probably it is a temporary drop and I am already seeing steady increase in traffic. Thank you and have a good day!
I posted on the forums about this exact topic. Some people seem to be doing well, but others, like you and me, are discouraged. It has been suggested that it will take possibly 6 months for all of the changes to kick in, so the best thing to do is edit where you can, post here and there and just wait it out. Easy to say, but hard to do. You're a good writer, so in the end, you should do OK.
Thank you TIMETRAVELER, for answering the question! You are right--we must wait and watch. This has happened earlier too and let us hope everything will be normal soon. Thank you!
Actually I have found my views rising. Over the last month I have been getting more double red arrows than ever before. Probably up by 50%. I hope your views improve again soon.
Thanks John Hansen, for your response!
I am happy for you that your page views have increased. I love the sight of double red arrows. Thankfully today I have good number of single red arrows. Hopefully things will improve soon. Thank you!
Most assuredly it is a seasonal thing combined with some "adjustments" for HP. Having both effect traffic at once is a frightful thing. The audience for our Christmas Holiday shifts a bit. If you generally attract those who would be active this time of year your views go up. Mine are down but that is to be expected as I write less this time of year. Mine are also down because my readers are prone to go read more Christmasy stuff this time of year. And in my case, as strange as this may sound, my readers have less time to read about my contemplative stuff because they are too busy during a season that is about contemplative stuff. Kind of interesting. I for one have no fear that this down trend will continue. It is just a hiccup in the life of an online writer.
Well said Eric Dierker!
I am also optimistic like you and I know it quite well that you love writing and do not bother much about the page views.
I presume it to be a seasonal thing and few changes by HP. Thanks and have a good day!
I most definitely am and winter is typically the time when I have the most views.
Thank you for responding to the question, Express10. I am happy that you are getting good traffic for your hubs. Thanks!
I most definitely am (experiencing the drop) and winter is typically the time when I have the most views.
Thanks Express10 for the clarification! I am sorry I misunderstood your answer. Let us wish the page views improve soon. Thanks again!
I dont know what is going on since they keep moving hubpages to and from other locations. There is also a drop in members I think.
Thank you Susan Britton, for answering the question!
It is great to see you after a long time. I hope page views will improve soon and it is a temporary drop. Happy Hubbing!
It is good to see you too Chitrangada. I have been busy with Life issues but am going to pick up writing again soon. I think all sites have their ups and downs. You have been a lot busier writing than I have keep up the great work and you will be fine
Thank you Susan , for your kind words! You are right the real life keeps us busy. I also find time with difficulty. Let us hope things improve soon at HP . Wish you all the best!

This last week I've noticed that I've been getting a combine average of about 2 views for all of my hubs. Is anyone else notice a drop in thier views?

I am experiencing an overall average off 66 percent less page views per day, for seven days versus a week previous and for the past two months. Such a huge drop in page views makes me think that Google has tuned up something again. I do know that I don't have the time and energy to keep...

Am wondering if anybody else has gotten reduced page views in the past two weeks. I'm losing about 1000 views plus per day and am wondering if some of this is due to the hurricanes. I always expect a drop in the fall, but this is pretty significant. Anybody?

Has anyone else had any odd peaks in page views or earnings this week (18 july 2012)?One day this week my daily page views and earnings more rose to than double their usual level, but seem to have settled down again now. Has this happened to anyone else, or was it just me having a good day?

Is it worth it? All this writing, photographing and editing, and page views are still going down.I wonder if I am wasting my time here on Hubpages, I pour my heart out and share my best recipes, I have written 72 hubs over the last year and a half, I feel that the quality and content of my hubs has...
