Even I am new here like you. I think writing good hubs alone doesn't make a person a good hubber.
A good hubber is one who helps others, participates in forums, asks good questions, and takes part in Hub Hopping.That's what I have learnt till now. I might be missing some things. But this is what I feel.

All very useful ideas.Of course being a little good at psychology helps and you should be able to write well. Still, hubbers must like you and so you need to show an interest in them as well.
Look for the hubs you like and comment on them.
