What medication can I take for sciatica numbness that runs down the back of my right leg?

I'm currently on 50mg of Amitriplyine at bedtime. This doesn't help during the day anymore. I really don't want to increase the dosage because it makes me to groggy in the morning.

B12, and perhaps Gabapentin. These are both good drugs for nerve damage. Ask you doctor. They can run a B12 level to see if you are deficient. B12 helps conduct electrical nerve activity in the body.

I'm currently taking B12 daily. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to Gabapentin, this was my Dr's first choice of medication.

Try a magnesium, calcium, zinc supplement. You may also want to try capsaisin, a rub on cream. Some people have good results with these.
