Hey darciad, You write a successful hub by following the rules that are required to get an article published or featured. This has been covered extensively by the Learning Center and other hubbers who have been writing for lon on HP.In a nutshell your article is required to cover your topic or subject completely and in as much detail as possible, the hub should contain high quality images, videos, maps, callouts etc.The article should have unique content that can not be found on the web.
0Hello Darcia. I would begin by understanding what HubPages (HP) calls a Stellar article. Here is a link to that article: https://hubpageshelp.com/content/Learni … tellar-Hub
Here is a link to the Learning Center, which is the HubPages Help site: https://hubpageshelp.com/ There are a lot of helpful articles there for writing articles. There are three categories there; Publishing Standards, Making Money, and Content Creation. You can always find the link to that site at the Help queue seen at the upper right. There is also a link to the FAQ too.
The article for a Stellar article will share information for substance, organization, and Grammar & Mechanics. Those three categories are used by the Quality Assessment Process (QAP). That process is by a human outsource at Amazon Mturk where readers assess the article. They use criteria to give a rating that our Hub Score comes from. There is different criteria for Creative Writing articles and Informational. Here is a link going to the Informational criteria: http://hubpages.com/help/hub_hop_table#informational You can toggle at a link at the upper left to go to the Creative criteria.
That assessment is combined with one done electronically. What that does is do things like do counts of words, capsules, and images. The QAP is where a HubScore comes from. Most importantly that is what is considered for an article to be Featured vs. being UnFeatured. Featured means it is Good to High Quality and is available to Google to be discovered by a user searching for information.
I hope that helps you with your New adventure writing and crafting articles while journeying on a learning experience. My recommendation is to just jump in the water and write, write, and write while learning along way.

This situation really has me disturbed. I am a new Hubber, and I have come across a website that appears to have my Hubpage article published on it under a different name. That name is "mira mc" , who is not me. This is the link to that...

How do you check your Hubpage article rank on Google?I want to see where each of my articles rank on Google, how can I do that? I have analytics but I want to see where each one actually stands on the search engine pages.
