It's bad enough that they are there in the middle of your writing do you really want them to be static?

Gee Habee I have never noticed it. I use Firefox with Adblock added so I never get to see any ads on my pages at all.

My guess is advertisers only pay for so much exposure.  When that time is up the ads go away and are replaced.
When I used to write for newspapers the business staff would run ads for a specific number of days and that was it.  Then they were gone.

I agree with you because most of my recent articles have ads about the cell phones. I think this is the new contracts.

Mind you, how they choose WHAT ads go on there in the first place is another question!

Not stupid question. Ads changes because of keywords used in your content.

I don't believe that at all.
On one of my hubs (which was a story about zombies) the front and center large ad was about gay mature dating.  Not at any time in any one of my hubs has any of those terms been used.  So I don't buy that theory

Well read google adsense help area, how they make ads relevant so that will answer your question even if you choose not to buy that theory.
