“Sitting with her on Sunday evening — a wet Sunday evening — the very time of all others when if a friend is at hand the heart must be opened, and everything told…”
― Jane Austen, Mansfield Park
Lovely. I took a major authors class on Jane Austen as a university student and I've been obsessed with her writing ever since. Thank you
I donated a bunch of books today to my neighborhood library’s Friends Program. While at the Squirrel Hill Library, I looked over some of their gently-used and never-used books. Great success! I found a book about old-time San Francisco (920 O’Farrell Street) as well as a copy of Jane Austen’s Emma.
Kenna, 920 O’Farrell Street has some really fantastic pictures of old-time SF. One photo that caught my attention was the original location of Congregation Sherith Israel on Post Street. Fantastic photo!
