I'm just beginning to see some small earnings coming into my Ad Program every day but nothing yet from the Amazon program. What is the income source of the Ad Program? What is producing these small amounts of earnings?

The income is from the advertisements you can see on your live article. Most authors earn more from the Ad Program than Amazon, since Amazon earnings are commission-based, which means you will only earn when someone buys something.

Christy, when you say " income is from the advertisements you can see on your live article", how exactly does the advertisement generate income for me?

Advertisers are willing to pay simply for readers to see the ads (known as "impressions") and some also pay when readers click on the ads as well. The more readers you have, the more impressions, and therefore the more earnings. Does that make sense?

Hi Christy, you seem to know a lot about the Hub pages. I'm a newbie here, just trying to get Adsence working on in my article. The article is set up, but for some reason I can get my code to the article to post ads. Can you help?

You have to activate your earnings programs in your earnings settings. HP takes care of the rest, as far as ads go.
