Maybe send her an email via her contact page? Yeah, it's been a while since she's posted here. Maybe she's on a vacation.
@ theraggededge -- I join you in wishing that Marisa is well.
Yes, it's strange not seeing Marisa posting in the forums. She is very clever and knowledgeable about Hubpages, and I miss reading her posts! I hope she is well!
Marisa has left Hub Pages. You can reach her through a contact sheet at pointeshoes dot com if you want to get in touch. She sold her site to the man who was offering to buy them and has moved on to other things. I told her this would be a terrible loss for the writers here on HP because her help and knowledge have been invaluable. Just know that she is fine and is doing well. I only posted this with her permission, so am not breaking any confidences. Bear in mind that she can no longer come onto the forums because she no longer is a member of HP.
I was wondering the same thing Bev. Good of you to post this thread.
Correction: the website for contacting Marisa is pointeshoesonline dot com not pointeshoes dot com. My bad.
She has read your posts here, however, and appreciates all of your kind words.
I sent her an email but haven't received a response yet.
I was wondering the same thing. She is a great person and always willing to help the newbies, and not so newbies like myself. The forums need her presence.
Yes, I was wondering about Marisa, too. She always goes above and beyond to help fellow writers, and she has a wealth of information. When there's a debate about something here, I always wait for her to chime in so I get the true scoop. Hope you're doing great, Marisa!
I hope things are okay with her. Miss her frank advice and unceasing help.
I was wondering as well because this is out of character for her. Let's hope for the best.
I am sure she is okay. How long has it been since she posted?
I'm waiting for her to come back to me to get permission to say.
Glad she’s okay. I noticed she wasn’t around for the past few weeks.
Marisa sold her account three weeks ago and is no longer on hubpages.
I wish her all the very best.
It's a kind of blow in a way. HP will most certainly miss such a wonderful hubber.
Tess is correct. Marisa e-mailed me in regards to my forum post
I Would Like to Purchase Your HubPages Account.
After some discussions, I ended up acquiring her account. I know she had quite a following and she told me that she would miss the forums here the most. I am more than willing to pass any messages along to her. Maybe I'll just let her know she is missed anyway! She's a very kind person and would probably appreciate it.
John, I am truly curious as to why you want to buy accounts. What do you see in the future that we don't?
It's just an investment. He pays upfront for something that pays him a recurring income. It's like buying a house and giving it on rent.
It's a risk no doubt, but investments are always a risk.
Since you own the account I wouldn't know how to reach her anymore. Could you maybe pass on the message that Brandon wishes her success in whatever she does? Also, let her know that she'd be missed. She was one of my favourite hubbers on the forums, we've always had fruitful discussions. The forums won't be the same without her.
I posted that you can contact her through pointeshoes dot com.
Yup, I did contact her earlier this morning. Another hubber here sent me her email address.
Is it part of your agreement that she cannot create a new account on HubPages? She could create one and just be active in the forums under a new name like MarissaOfTheForums.
She can create a new account but right now prefers not to do so.
I still don't know how this buying accounts work. I thought the hubs would stay here on HP and that only the owner name would change, but that isn't the case. So all Marissa's hubs are vanished now? Or can they be found under a different name.
The account remains intact but no longer belongs to Marisa. The hubs are still published under her name but that account now belongs to JWilliams2.
The new owner is quite rightly not using Marisa's account for commenting on the forums. All seems pretty straightforward to me.
The hubs stay wherever the new owner wishes to put them. For now, it appears he's leaving them here. They will continue to be listed under her pen name.
Yup, no plans to move them! They are doing fine where they're at and moving articles to a different site could be a disaster when it comes to their search engine rankings.
That would definitely be disaster. Moving them to another hubpages account would also not be worthwhile. Like you say, leave them where they are.
She will be greatly missed, by myself and many others. I don't think anyone has been more helpful than Marisa, and you could always trust that she knew what she was talking about.
She did a great job of giving us direct answers and good suggestions. Wishing her well.
Good for Marisa! I hope she's moving on to find continued success.
I sold all my content to Ehow about 7 years back and used the proceeds to open a restaurant. I'd love to know what Marisa moves onto next.
Marisa is a dancer (and that's not her real name). She has two websites that sell dancing things and she writes about dancing. Dancing is her first love.
Thank you for the link about the guy buying HP accounts. Reading it was a learning experience.
Ooh no, I'm going to miss her. I did enjoy reading her posts.
I'm so sorry to hear that Marisa won't be around. She taught me a lot. Maybe she'll rejoin and pop into the forum now and then. Let's hope so.
Bummer. I liked her, even if I didn't always follow her tips.
I’m not surprised that Marisa sold her account to John Williams, because she is an excellent writer and her content obviously had a lot of value for an investor. It must have brought her a worthwhile payment for the sale.
Marisa, if you’re reading this, I wish you all the best with your other endeavors. You were a tremendous help to the HubPages community and you will be very much missed.
Marissa will be sadly missed. I always read her advice, since I knew it could be trusted.
I am saddened to hear that Marisa has left HP, though glad to hear that she is okay. She had a way of explaining things that everyone could understand. I always appreciated her posts.
She is going to be missed!
I'm glad Marisa is well and hopefully enjoying a nice lump sum. Sad for HubPages though. Marisa was so helpful and she'll be well missed.
This is very unfortunate, she has given out so much useful advice and her articles were extremely helpful for many.
Dear Marisa -- just learned that you have left HP. I wish you the best in every thing that is before you. Thank you for the help and needed-guidance while you were the leading force on HP. Thanks for the many things you taught me--I wish for you ONLY the BEST. ;0
Hey Everyone,
I gave Marisa a link to this forum thread and she seemed flattered. She told me:
"I may join up again at some time in the future, but for now it would be great if you could let people know I have my hands full with new projects."
So I am just passing the word along at her request! As some of you have already said, she is a very talented writer and it wouldn't surprise me if she has plenty of opportunities pulling her different directions. Which it sounds like she does!

I haven't seen Blondepoet around for a while. Her last post was 6 days ago. She's probably headed off up the Zambezi or something on another adventure. Hope all is OK.

OK, I like a compliment just as much as anyone else. But, when a Newbie says that my photo of myself is CUTE? Well, it did make me laugh, but a man in his seventies with a face full of well deserved wrinkles is not Cute, by anyone. Well Preserved maybe, but not Cute.I laughed a lot, and then I...

A few weeks ago, I posted some thoughts on why traffic is falling for many writers and what we might do about it. One of the things I considered is that massive rewrites and fresh articles may be the ticket to clawing back on some of these traffic drops. Here is some more food for thought on that...
