    Hi all,

I'm new here and have so far written only 3 hubs. I started using Pinterest to help promote them. I realized that just about every article on Pinterest has specially designed images with text and such to make them more visually appealing.

I then made two using images from my current articles in the same fashion and would like to include them in those hubs. I noticed from some articles in the pins that i(f they weren't the first image in the article), the special Pinterest-friendly images have their own link that can be used to pin on a board. I want to make sure if that's the case, because if so then I can stick the Pinterest image (if that's allowed) at the very end of the article. Thanks in advance.

    -Toni

You're always encouraged to improve things you've already published when you believe you see a way to do so. Go for it, and don't let other people here tell you what you can or can not do, if you do something against the rules - the HP staff will let you know in an email.

Sure you can. Adding them to the end of the article is a good idea since if they are the first image they might get cropped to fit onto the HP niche front page.

It is well worth the read since you are just starting out.
I paint in acrylics and really enjoyed reading about your pencil supplies article. It is great to learn something new. Good luck here.

Thanks for the advice and link! I didn't realize that Sue had posted the same one and I'm jumping around this discussion thread reading everyone's replies. Sorry!

You can make any image "Made for Pinterest". The very first image will always show when you share your article on Facebook and it will also become the thumbnail image on your profile. I usually make the first image MFP and am working on adding more throughout my articles when ever possible. The more the merrier. Then you have more chance of attracting attention.

Another tip is to make the first image square so its thumbnail text doesn't get cut off on the profile page or anywhere else for that matter.

Susannah Birch wrote a complete guide on how to make and use MFP images.

Thanks for the advice Sue, and for the link. I thought of making the first image in my articles MFP, but from what I've seen on Pinterest most are rectangular-shaped. If I click on a pin and go to the actual article, the lead image is standard size with the MFP image at the bottom. I will consider making the lead image MFP and square-shaped as well so it doesn't get cut off when displayed on HP.
