Problems with Q&A Notification

By using a different email address, I tested the notification people receive who ask a question. I posted a question as if I was someone else and I answered it.

Here are some issues I discovered:

    1. It took two or three days for the notification to be sent.

    2. The wording says "Glenn Stok has answered your question on your article "

It should say "Glenn Stok has answered your question on the article  "

Or even better: "Your question has been answered relating to article  "

People will not know who the author is anyway, so the author's name is meaningless and may actually cause them to ignore the notification.

    3. The link to see the answer needs to be copy and pasted into their browser. Not everyone knows how to do this. It would be better to make the link in the email clickable.

From my rant on an earlier thread https://hubpages.com/community/forum/33 … -questions I tested this out by asking a question on DrMarks hub, but there was no option to enter an email ID when I asked the question. Is this something that has been recently changed?

I tried it without being logged in and it gave the option to be notified by entering an email address.
Maybe they added it after your tried it.

This morning I took an old comment and made it into a new question per your suggestion. I was logged out. It did not ask for any email verification.
Perhaps it is only asking for email on some accounts.

I was logged out for sure and incognito. No email ID option, nothing at all. Not even an option for a name or anything. Just the text of my question. But, I did try it a few days earlier, but from what DrMark says, it still isn't an option for everyone.

That's very strange that you don't see an option to be notified when incognito.  I just tried it again and this time I took a screen shot to show you. After typing the question and clicking "Ask" the following message appears...

This was the other day, I was not on my laptop last evening when I replied to you. This morning, I see the option for an email. It wasn't there the last time. Could have just been a bug?

Normally in this time of year I get comments on my rejected lamb hub but I haven't seen a question yet on any of my hubs. So I don't know if it's working on my account or nobody has any questions. I can't try it out because I don't have another emailaccount.

None of your lambing season hubs have been moved to a niche site so there is no Q&A available on them. I just checked your rejected lamb article on Pethelpful and the Q&A is available on that one. There are just no questions there yet.
