Back when I started, I made the mistake of splitting a tutorial into 2. What happened then was the usual, part 1 has 4 times the traffic of part 2.
I'm thinking of merging part 2 into the first. But to do that means I have to erase part 2, which is featured. Would there be a penalty if I do this? What's going to happen to the dead link?
You might have to go for the 'trial and error' approach. Hopefully it will all turn out okay in the end.
It's perfectly alright to delete articles, even ones that are featured or have been moved to a Network Site. We always recommend making your articles stand-alone pieces rather than parts of a series, so merging the two is a great idea.
I would copy and save the text and photos if any of part two first in Word and then delete the part two and make sure it's deleted from Google too. If you don't make sure that the hub part two has vanished from the internet, before you update the part one hub, you will get a message of duplicated text.
Ah, I forgot about duplicate text. If there's any problem OP could email the team to explain. Also unpublishing will leave the original Pt 2 on the account. You don't have to delete it until you are ready.
If it's possible, you can unpublish and wait about 10 days for Google to deindex, then update Pt 1. I've done it when moving hubs from an old unwanted account to this one.
Hey guys, thanks for the heads up about duplicated text. That didn't occur to me. I think I'd so as suggested and erase part 2 first. Ten days would be a nice, easier time frame for me to revamp everything.

I posted 10 hubs, 5 have been featured, the rest 5 just be published, so I'm thinking about if the hubs not be featured, that means that would never be indexed by google, should I delete it and move to others like squidoo or ezinearticles? Cuz its meaningless for SEO if not be public for search...

Isn't possible for hubpages to implement a system where visitors can not copy and paste hubbers content on here? Surely, they could just rewrite it, however, I am sure it will turn them away more cause they can not simply copy it as easy. There's got to be a solution to this.

We all know that we must keep our Articles fresh and up to date, right? Well, I'm sitting here staring at one of mine with the subject, "Idle Hubs". My problem is that for a while it managed to gather several thousand Views. But now, the whole Idle Hub scenario has been eliminated. SO, my...
