So here's the problem. Sometimes I really, REALLY want to answer a legitimate question but I need much more information from the "asker" to do so. Example.. "My pool is still cloudy and we have followed all instructions" but what they don't tell me is, well, anything else. (Above ground pool? in ground pool? and yes, it makes a HUGE difference... Type of filter?, etc. ..) I don't want to miss out on a good question. Only thing I can think of is to edit their question for, say an above ground pool and then create my own question for the same thing for an in ground pool. I wish there was a way to let the asker (not even sure that's a word lol) know that I need more information in order to answer the question correctly. Suggestions? I love the Q&A. Nearly a thousand extra views per day.
I would suggest replying and saying what extra information you would need in order to give a useful answer.
I actually did that today. we'll see how it goes. Do they get an email? (only if they selected that option) right away? or only after it has been viewed and accepted/released by moderators/editors? In my niche, viewers don't want to wait 5 or 10 days for an answer. They want an answer "now" because they want to be able to use their pool. I would also like the ability to insert a photo on q/a. Has nothing to do with traffic, but really to help the reader. I could explain much more with a photo (example, the type of valves they have, valve positioning, etc..)

All of us that have visited the question section know that much of the content there is of very questionable quality. It's difficult to see how many of the questions really contribute to the community or discussion on HubPages at all, ranging as they do from mediocre to banal.Of course, there are...

Just curious.... does it violate any rules if I put a "for more information" link to another of my websites in any of my hubs?

I re-discovered the questions and answers area of HubPages, and, I found something that I feel kind of let down by. As in any question I ask that deals with a gay issue has to be reviewed, while other questions I ask sail through, even if the subject isn't really that important. I also noticed that...

Now, before I post this, in some of your eyes, both Palin and Trump are loosers. This answer I expect, but, we now have two people with fare ratings and backbones looking into this Issue. Not only that, they tell you, like it is, not, what you want to hear.Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says real...
