Nitpicky Photo Capsule Preference

As much as I caution new hubbers to avoid adding too much blank white space in-between capsules, I've recently realized that photo capsules and text capsules immediately following seem squeezed together pretty tight, and it might look better to give a single line of blank space between (at the end of the text capsule). Any thoughts?

Here's some of my recent countdowns to quickly show the difference:

    Without the space: https://hobbylark.com/card-games/Top-10 … n-Yu-Gi-Oh

I have done that on my multi-recipe articles since I have a picture per recipe that puts one right up against every text capsule and it looks too crowded. They typically take them out when they move them to niche sites though.

Extra white space is one of the issues we train our editors to remedy when selecting articles to move to network sites, so I recommend not leaving any space in between capsules.

Hmm, not even a single line? Based on Natalie's response and my own thoughts (I could understand both perspectives), a single line may be more visually appealing to some, almost like a little breather.

Either way, I definitely wouldn't go beyond that, a mistake many new authors make, and I appreciate your response.

I agree.  My articles tend to be longer and I use the photo recommendation whenever possible which means there is a good deal of text between each photo as there is the initial photo before the text then text photo text photo.  So the photos are spread out.  The two exceptions so far are my recipe articles and a quotation one I just wrote.

So for example, there's this one https://owlcation.com/humanities/Mutiny-Aboard-Skylab-4 that has no extra white space which I think is fine.  But then the quotation one without white space would be too crowded since there is a "picture" each quote.  So I added a line after the text so the text clearly goes with the quote above it and is a different section from the next quote and text.  That's this one https://hubpages.com/education/Inspirat … ir-Meaning
