Has anybody posted an Amazon A store in their hub? Is this allowed? If yes, any success? I was thinking of adding my own A store to a hub but not sure if it is allowed.

Simply because I have various astores that offer way more products that can be possibly put in a capsule. Just thought people may be interest in browsing more products that are highly related to my hub subject. However, if it should lower my score I rather avoid.
You may get a direct sale from your astore link than having to wait for the share or impression business of affiliate sales from Amazon, again the more traffic I suppose the better!
Using an Amazon capsule is penalty-free whereas if you started to link to an A-store from all your Hubs, it might incur the repeated linking score drop....
