Hi Hubbers,
Kindly give me feedback on my article https://hubpages.com/technology/How-to- … ackup-plan and help me get it Featured.
I would suggest you find an alternative word for 'recovery'. It occurs 20 times within the text.
It would also be a good idea to liven up your writing a little. Have a look at all the verbs ending in 'ing' and try to use a stronger version.
Change the subtitle 'Introduction' to something that will grab the reader's attention "Why Should You Back Up?"
Put your subheadings into proper title case.
Your first sentence "This involves archiving or creating copies of data..."
What is 'this'?
Start strong... "We all need to back up our data. Imagine losing a decade's worth of precious family photos or valuable business records. Now that we keep our whole lives in digital form losing it all in a moment doesn't bear thinking about"
Paint a picture, but don't get melodramatic. You must grab their attention and make them keep reading.
Hope that helps.
I thought this was a good hub. The only think I notice is that there are a lot of text capsules together and Hub Pages seem to like us to mix it up a little. Maybe try to break it up with more images. Keep on trying. My last hub took quite a few edits for me to get it through. You will get there in the end. You have quality writing about relevant subjects. You deserve to get it featured. It is frustrating. Sometimes I feel like we have to be mindreaders to figure out what we need to change to get a hub featured.
When I saw your forum title, I assumed you had written a hub about how to get a hub featured! How wrong I was. It won't be long before you will be able to write one to give the rest of us tips on how to get our hubs featured.
@theraggededge Thank you so much for the feedback.I really appreciate the hints and tips you have given me.I will definitely improve the article and republish.
@eurofile
Thanks for the insights dear.It is always a pleasure for you to stop by.Thanks a lot.
@eurofile,
Hey,I will definitely write an article on getting Featured.

I see this message when my Hub is rejected: "Heads up! It looks like your Hub is not cleared for publication because it did not pass the Quality Assessment Process. No need to fret; every new Hubber goes through Boot Camp, and all you need to do is improve the Hub so that it meets our quality...

Hi EveryoneI guess it's not only my problem but for some other hubbers too, how do you encourage visitors to leave a comment on your Hub, or give some sort of feedback.I am getting some traffic to my Hubs, but for some reason I am still not receiving any constructive feedback, either good or...

Happy Friday, Hubbers!Next week we will be raising the quality threshold for newly-published Hubs (meaning newly-Featured Hubs will, on the whole, be of higher quality) and will also be giving Featured Hubs (for those with high Hubber Scores) longer grace periods- up to a year for some.More...

The purpose of this post is NOT to moan and groan, but rather to better understand it, by sharing your insight and experiences. Obviously we now have to work using its parameters. Stayin' Alive Ha Ha Ha

I'm not asking about why hubs get featured or un-featured. I kind of know that.The issue is: I just did a category search in my hubs, and found that, out of 292 published hubs, 149 are unfeatured due to low traffic! That's a lot! Over half my articles! I don't have the time...
