Problem in Comments Area of an Article

I published a new article late last night. It has been Featured and has 4 lengthy comments on it. When I approved the comments, no area came up for me to reply to them. Not wanting to ignore people kind enough to add to what I said, I answered them by name in the main comment area at the top. I realize that's wrong, but didn't know what else to do. The hub is: https://hubpages.com/religion-philosoph … pios-Evil.

Can this be fixed so I can copy and paste my comments in correctly? Or is it too late and now my whole comment area will be messed up? Thanks.

Hmm, your link didn't work for me, and I don't yet see the article on your profile.

If I'm understanding the issue correctly, one alternative (at least for future occurrences) might be to manually go to your hub, scroll down, and answer the comments from there. Less convenient, but should still work.

Jean, is this what you're talking about? Every time I answer a comment from a reader, if I have another comment to answer, I have to go back to the original notification and bring it up. Are we supposed to be able to hit "approve" to bring it up? I have never been able to do that. It is time consuming when you have multiple comments.

      Doris,
I did hit "approve" after each comment, but no area came up for me to comment. Then it said "deny" and I got afraid I would lose the comments if I played around too much, not being as tech literate as some. https://hubpages.com/religion-philosoph … pios-Evil. Here's the URL again, but it could be against the TOS to display it, although everyone else does in the main forum of "How Can I Improve This Hub." I guess I can still answer them as long as I have the person's name. I don't know what to do.

Jeremy says the URL doesn't work and I tried the one in the tech forum, and it didn't. But I logged out of HP and back into it, and the article is clearly displayed as the newest one I've written on my Profile page. He's right, the URL isn't working. I only published it around 2AM this morning, maybe it's too soon? Although people were allowed to comment.

So are we all. But why? It was Featured early this morning and shows as the newest published article on my profile.

Also, nobody is addressing the real problem. Normally, when a new person comments on an article, the author hits "approve." Then an area opens up for the author to answer. Why is that not happening? I can clearly see the article and logged out of HP and back in. I know it's there because I posted it late last night and people have already commented on it.

The administration needs to do something to fix this. The 404 error should not be coming up, the URL is correct. I am not posting again because my problem is being danced around and nobody wants to fix it.

Jean, the link you originally posted has a period on the end by mistake (hence the 404 message). Here is the correct link: https://hubpages.com/religion-philosoph … rpios-Evil

I can see four questions and your answers to them under "comments".

    There's a period in the link. Try this https://hubpages.com/religion-philosoph … rpios-Evil

To approve comments and be able to reply to them, use your comments page: https://hubpages.com/my/hubs/comments

    smile

Edit: sorry Beth, I didn't see your reply before I went wading in.

      Thanks Beth and Bev,
I didn't notice the period I put in by mistake. Duh.

I did answer the comments, but above them all, and I had to address each person by name. Bev, I didn't think to answer them on the other Comment area because it was a new article. I haven't published in a few months, still trying to get those last 18 articles onto niches. Thanks for the reminder.

Actually, before I checked the article to see if it was Featured, I did look at my comment area, and there was only one not related to the new article. But thanks for helping. I guess it all works out in the end.
