I have been using "ProWritingAid" and "Grammarly" for the most part. Apart from these apps, I  have a few friends to help me out. What about you people?

PS, if any of you need any help with the above apps, I'll be more than happy to explain how they work.

Grammarly - it’s the most comprehensive editor I’ve found yet.

Even though I am a certified Language Arts teacher, I still run my articles through my word processor spelling and grammar check both before I post them and then again afterwards and also after making any major edits.  Even with that, editors sometimes find more intricate things that make my hubs better.  Using an older version of Word.  I strongly suggest that people do this because it is very easy to make typos, etc.

You don't have to buy a subscription unless you want the pro version. The default is good enough to make most work error free.

I didn't think of using anything, thanks! I'm going to give grammarly a try and see how it works.

I purchased ProWriting Aid, and it is very good, yet I don't use it much. I would if writing for clients (especially US based ones), but generally I forget.

I don't use anything. Old school.

Same; nothing wrong with those aids, but I've found that you can't beat good old-fashioned proofreading to catch errors or improve awkward wording.

Same here. I am perfectly capable of nit-picking my own work to death. I don't need any help. big_smile

I don't use anything either. I did have Grammarly installed at one point but got rid of it soon enough. After writing something I read it out loud in my head if that makes sense. It's kind of like focusing on each word and not speeding through so as to understand what's written.

I don't use anything either.  I proof-read by using Preview mode.  It's amazing how many spelling and grammatical errors and awkwardly worded sentences that I see in that mode that weren't obvious when I wrote them in Word and then copied them into editing mode.
