How do I place an image into a paragraph of my article instead of separately, in between paragraphs? I used to be able to double-click on the image and it would set it that way.

I've been here for years and it's never been possible to place an image inside a text capsule. They were always separate.

What we have lost is the ability to right align images. This is so that articles look presentable on mobile devices. You have to work with the way it is.

What Bev said, it's never been that way in the last 8 years I've been here.

You can create as many text capsules as you need. So place your paragraph in one text capsule, add an image capsule, then continue in a new text capsule with the rest of your write up.

What Lobo said, except you don't have to end the paragraph within the capsule.  You can split a sentence or even a word between two capsules, with a photo capsule between them if you wish.

    (I don't adv

    ise splitting a word, though!)

I think I've said it before, but I really liked to be able to add the photo capsule on the right side of the paragraph. I think it looks so much more professional and appealing than on top or underneath instead of a large photo  and trying to explain which paragraphs the photo is in reference to ( above or below)

As someone who primarily accesses HubPages from a computer, when the change first happened, I agreed with your thoughts. But to those who access hubs from a phone (which is a substantial number of readers), the move made sense, as it eliminated images that weren't transitioning well.

From a writing standpoint, we're more "limited" by the move, but honestly, from a viewer's perspective, it forces us to use images that all readers can legibly read, and I think that's for the best.

There is one alternative and that's to wrap the text around an image in Word, a DTP package or an image processing application (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or similar) and then save the result as an image. However the text won't be indexed by Google so if you want to earn money from your articles, it's not the way to go.

You put each paragraph in a separate text capsule.

I previously explained how you can use Canva to do all this.  It's a simple program to use.

But then your text is in an image and it does not really go well with the rest of the article. When the image changes dimensions on mobile, that text is as good as spam (illegible).
