How does one indent a paragraph in a text capsule? Is this even possible to do?

I would love to know the answer! I have tried and could not. I have indented poetry weirdly though but this has been awhile back and I got it to fit in but it took a lot of effort and I could not tell you how. (It could have been that last kick I gave the keyboard!)

When you edit a text capsule there is a box about the center of the row up top which usually has the word "Formatted" in it. Click on this and you will see a list of words, go to the bottom and you will see "Preformatted". Click on this one. The paragraph is now indented - perhaps only about 2-3 letters - but it is indented. The next rows after will be 1 letter to the left of the first.

Thank you. I tried that but I'm not crazy over how it makes the text appear.

Susan, have you tried copy/paste from Word? I write all my posts in Word then copy and paste. I don't indent my paragraphs so I don't know if that'll work for you, but it's worth giving it a try.

I do that too, but it makes no difference. HP still moves it over.

There is a "quote" option which I use, which indents it and slightly greys the text.

That puts quote marks before and after each first line. You can also use numbers and bullets if you want to have something in front if each paragraph. I believe that she just wanted to indent as normal.

I too would love to have a bit more indenting capabilities, or possibly a way to include some basic HTML tags. I just tried the Block Quote (I highlighted paragraph first, then clicked icon) and it worked, indented the paragraph without quotes! Yay!
