Just starting out on HubPages and wondering if it's preferable to sign up with Amazon Associates independently? After reading the info in the HubPages learning centre, I'm not sure I see any advantage to doing that so I'm wondering why anyone would. Can someone enlighten me? (Just for the record, the articles I plan to write are likely to feature quite a few product suggestions)
If you are only going to use Amazon links on HP and not on your own website(s) then there is not much point in signing up directly. I used to use the direct links because I had other sites and it would have taken me ages to get payout if I hadn't also had HupPages earnings going in there too.
Amazon closes affiliate programs that don't sell enough, and pays higher rates to those that sell a lot. So it makes more sense to belong to the Hubpages account.

I've never generated a cent from these two programs and they've also never really worked properly. Constantly my adsense claims its active then I'm not approved, then it just mucks up everything. I'm not making any money on hubs as it is but this isn't helping anything.
