Do I need to wait until adsense is complete? The page doesnt go anywhere else...just 3 items listed and adsense is incomplete. Is this the reason why I can't get signed up?
Hi Brenda,
Are you asking about Amazon or Adsense? What page are you referring to? What three items?
If you are trying to set up Adsense with only one article, it's not going to work. Spend some time at the Learning Center (click on Help, top right, to navigate there. This might help:

If you make the question clearer, we can try to help
I took a look at your first article, and I can guarantee, it won't pass the Quality Assessment Process. It's too promotional and needs formatting properly. Again, do some research at the Learning Center to find out what HubPages requires.
Good luck, and welcome.
Thank you. I will look at the learning center.
When I tried to press get started it listed what I had completed. Adsense was not configured. Hub/amazon also not active.
I thought I had to activate all of these.
Thank you for your reply.
I edited my article but I figure it still needs some work.
Thank you.
Brenda
It's best not to apply for Adsense until you have at least 10 featured articles. Google checks the content before they approve someone.
You can apply for Amazon any time, as far as I know, although I'm pretty sure you have to give them a URL to get started. However, if you have your own website or blog, you can use that.
Don't panic about the earnings stuff yet. You have plenty of time to sort it out. Your best course of action is to learn how to put a decent article together first.
Thank you. I appreciate your comments.
I will work on putting together better content.
But getting the first one published will be a great goal. (Or passing qa)
Thanks
Brenda
When submitting for adsense does it make any difference if I used a different email account than my PayPal account? Can I connect adsense to my PayPal later?
Right now I am using a different email for hubpages but I do have it connected to my PayPal.
Thank you for any information.
Adsense doesn't pay through PayPal. It pays directly into a bank account.
It seems complicated...
You need an Adsense account to activate the HubPages ad program.
Hubpages pays via Paypal, so you need to associate the same email address you use for PP with Hubpages. HubPages pays the month after you have earned $50.
You may also earn some Adsense but amounts are very small and you don't get paid until you have accumulated $100/£60.
Alternatively, you can turn off the HP ad program and earn via Adsense only. That means that you'll be paid into your bank account. Again $100/$60.
Amazon is a separate beast altogether.
Like I said, don't worry about it yet. Generally it takes a new person a good few months before they are familiar with how it works. And I didn't earn a payout until I had over 30 articles but that can vary depending on traffic to your articles.
Thank you.
All of this information helps explain a lot to me.
I was getting very confused. You shed some light on it for me.
Thanks
Brenda

I thought if a hubpage was listed in Google search it was featured. But apparently that is not the truth. I guess I will keep the hubs up and run my own check on them.
