    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Here is my article: Wife's Role in Treating Husband's Erectile Dysfunction

I'd say to start by removing all the bold and underlined text.

To all the nice people who have reviewed my article, thank you so much for your valuable suggestions. My article was published on Aug 08, 2023.

theraggededge, AliciaC, Mielbakagh57, OldRoses, melbel, and Gregory DeVictor thank you so much.

        Rhino, you're welcome.

I find it strange that a businessman, an engineer, and a teacher would write an article about this topic. In addition, the summary at the end seems out of place. The points that theraggededge have raised are important, too.

Thank you so much AliciaC for your help. I appreciate it very much.

But before anything else, let me tell you a bit why I choose this topic. I was once a bishop in a religious congregation. Part of my responsibility was to counsel with the members in my jurisdiction. I was able to give sound advices for various kinds of problems, except those involving marital issues. That was because of my ignorance about the topic and the difficulty of finding answers to questions about the topic. This has been aggravated by the fact that I cannot ask the right questions, or I'd be branded as inappropriate and indecent.

What you see on the internet do not reflect what is really happening in the lives of married couples. People do not want to talk about the intricacies of sex, and if they do, they won't pass the editorial standards.

If only sex can be discussed openly without malice, just like how we discuss things like diabetes and hypertension, we would have seen a decline in the rising cases of divorce and adultery.

Sorry Alice, I talk too much. Again, thank you so much for your help.

I appreciate that the topic should be talked about without malice, Rhino, I was just concerned about who was giving the advice. Perhaps you could add the fact that you were once a bishop giving advice to your congregation to your profile or better still to the article?

Good point Alicia. The reason I put so much references to my article is because I am not a licensed marriage counselor or a psychologist. Indicating that I have an experience in marriage and relationship couseling would make me an authority on the topic and would allow me to minimize the linking to other references, which could be seen as spammy. Thank you.

But there is still a deeper reason why I've gotten into this topic. I'd love to tell it all to you, but only if you want me to.

This is my first time to ask for a review of my article. I never thought that people here in HubPages like you could be so helpful. Thank you, thank you.

Hi, I read halfway through the article. And, I find the underlying and bold types distracting, so I stop reading more.

Have you visited the Learning Center yet?

    Thank you.

Yes, Miebakagh57. Thanks much for your reaction. That's what other people here in HubPages are noticing too.

I'm not used to visiting the Learning Center much. If you will remember, the editorial team of HubPages used to edit articles that do not conform to standards. So, what i did was to write and write, not worrying much about the form and focusing more instead on the content. But I think that has changed recently. And this is a good move by the editorial team as this will encourage us to improve our writing skills.

Again, thank you so much for your suggestion.

You should have visited the Learning Center BEFORE you started writing.  You should also have reviewed articles already published on HubPages to see what kinds of articles and formats the editors are looking for.  Doing both of these things would have saved you a lot of time and aggravation.

Just throwing articles on to a site is called blogging.  HubPages is not a blogging platform.  If you wish to write a blog, try Blogger or Word Press, both can be monetized.

HubPages is like an online magazine.  There are requirements that authors must meet to be published and promoted here.

Thank you so much OldRoses. I've learned something new today. I'll seriously consider your suggestion.

To all the wonderful people here: I couldn't thank you enough. You've been very helpful.

The first image is very blurry. I would recommend replacing it. Also, more images would be great!

Thank you so much melbel. I've edited the image yesterday to increase the size and to enhance its clarity. Let's see how it goes when the edit will take effect. Please let me know if there is anything else that you think would improve the quality of my article.

Let me tell you a little bit about the image. I designed the image with the purpose of sending a subliminal message to the reader that couples can be together forever. The background that looks like the outer space resembles the never-ending opportunities for the couple. The infinity symbol, cradling the couple, signifies the Devine Power that supports and protects the couple in their journey through life and throughout all eternity. Thus, the texts: "Sealed For Eternity" that "Not Even Death Can Keep Them Apart".

      Thanks and best reagrds.

There is an issue with the very first image in your article. It cannot contain any text overlay. Read on.

According to the HubPages' weekly newsletter that was dated March 29, 2023, HP no longer allows "top images with text overlay." In the same newsletter, HP states that "Text on images is still permitted on media throughout the test of the article; just be sure the first image you use is landscape-oriented and text-free."

Yes, your first image is "landscape-oriented," but it cannot contain any text. You must also properly credit the source of your image, such as Pixabay's royalty-free images that are free to use. On Pixabay, the free images are those that appear right below the paid iStock ones.

Thank you so much Gregory. I've just read the newsletter you mentioned, and yes, you are right. I'll have this corrected.

      Thank you.

I'm glad you kept a copy. I don't keep copies of every newsletter, but I made sure that I kept a copy of that one. Good luck!
