Someone requested me whether Hubpages does allow backlinking. He had read several of my articles on Pairedlife. He wants to link back to them. I told him I have to ask the Hubpages community to be sure it's allowed.

Does Hubpages allow this? And how many links does it allow per article or in the blog?

    Thanks.

Linking back to your articles from an external page is generally good. Unless it is a poor quality site. Hubpages can't control backlinks, so go for it.

Make sure the person only uses the summary or writes his own precis of the article - you don't want to be penalized for dup. content.

Thank you theraggededge for the answer and suggestion. I will ensure he doesn't duplicate the content like two of mine which have been duplicated.

Are you asking about links on other sites to your Hubpages article, or links on your article to other sites?

Links from my articles to other sites. He wants to link some of my articles to his site.

Sounds good. I don't think you should link to his, however, unless his stuff does seem to be very very good, and only where appropriate.

Do you want to link to his site? That's fine.
If he wants to pay you to do it, that is not ok.

Thanks psycheskinner for your response. Now my mind is settled. The replies have provided an insight on what to do and not in terms of linking.

Good to know. I had often wondered about this.
