It's way way too short. Only 5 minutes or so. If a comment is made and there's an error or additional text needs to be added, the only way to do this is to delete the comment and repost it.
Ten minutes would be good. I often realise I made a typo but it is too late to change.
If someone else makes a comment in the meantime, the replaced comment then ends up on top of this and out of sync. (I mean comments on articles)

Can this be removed or extended greatly? I have edited comments on numerous occasions and spent ages adding extra content, saved and then the added content disappears because of the timeout. It's really frustrating.

Sometimes I get great comments that are about 300 or more words, and personally that's a lot of reading for a comment in a hub. I just got a great comment, but long one that was 12 paragraphs, 650+ words, and took about 1.25 pages of a word document. I think that the comment could have been shorter...
