"I've often thought there ought to be a manual to hand to little kids, telling them what kind of planet they're on, why they don't fall off it, how much time they've probably got here... I didn't learn until I was in college about all the other cultures, and I should have learned that in the first grade. A first grader should understand that his or her culture isn't a rational invention; that there are thousands of other cultures and they all work pretty well; that all cultures function on faith rather than truth; that there are lots of alternatives to our own society... It means we don't have to continue this way if we don't like it."

Hello, Kenna, is not this too hard for a kid to understand? Thank you.

    Miebakagh57,
Could be, but I think his message is that kids need a manual on how to live life.

Hi, Kenna, I had that in mind likewise. But in these days of electronic media, how do we go about it? Could not you envisage kids thinking a tablet is just for a play thing? Now, the manual will not come in book form will it? What then will it be made of? Write them on the wall? I will welcomed any media that will enable kids live a meaningful life. Thank you.

    Miebakagh57,
There is a booklet called The Way to Happiness. I mention it in one of my HP articles. It's a booklet in helping people make the right choices. I share it with others and they, in turn, have shared it with others. It's the booklet that turned Columbia around winning the country's president the Nobel Peace Prize. It is the premise for the Criminon program in prisons.
