Here's a puzzle:
When I have a new comment on any of my articles, it shows up, as it always has, on the main HP feed page. From there, I can click on it, and be taken to the comment, and thence to the hub, if I choose, to respond.
Sometimes it is also noted in the daily digest emails; sometimes not. I suppose that depends upon the timing of the comment with the release of the email: they may not coincide.
HOWever, from the feed page left sidebar menu, under "notifications," the fact that I have a new comment on any article never, ever shows up until after I have replied to said comment!!!
What's up with that???? I am able to see notifications of comments on other hubs I'm following, or forum posts, but never a comment on my own article until after I've replied! Is this some kind of glitch???
It’s much easier if you use the global comment moderation page. They all show up there before you approve and reply. No need to go to each individual hub. You can even change the filter to see spam comments and those you declined in the past. Click to My Account > comments. Or just go here.
Yes, I suppose I can do that; but that wasn't the point of my post.
Anyway, I prefer to go to each hub to answer comments: it gives me another chance to read through it to see if there are any tweaks that need to be made.
It's not as if I'm drowning in comments and being hard-pressed to keep up with them, after all. If I get as many as 3 in a week, that's a "busy" comment week for me.

I've noticed lately that for some reason, I won't get notifications of comments on random hubs... all my other ones still email me though. Then I go look the main page on here and it says I have like 23 comments that I haven't approved yet... So I go look and they're way old and sure enough somehow...

Paul, I've noticed that a couple of times tonight when replying to comments in my own hubs, my own comments are auto-flagging as spam. (Spare me the jokes, people!!)It thanks for me submitting the comment and the comment disappears completely, and then when I reload its there and I have to approve...

Is anyone else having difficulty editing comments they make on hubs? All day yesterday and on some hubs today when I have needed to open up my comment to edit it I click on "edit your comment" and the page refreshes to the top of the page. It has meant having to leave further comments...

There is a glitch on the HP home page. It must be a glitch because the comments are visible on the actual hubs:When authors have their hubs moderated, comments are hidden until they are approved. However, as of today (Friday 11th) this changed. Even if the hubs are un-moderated and you...

Before reporting a problem I wanted to know if anyone else is having trouble with the comment notification. I usually receive an e-mail when I get a comment. I never changed my e-mail settings but for the past 24 hours I've received comments & not a single e-mail. I just checked my settings and...

I noticed the past few days that any notifications of comments don't appear in the notifications list until I approve the comment. (I am seeing the comments as they show up next to the Hubs link on the homepage, so that is not an issue.) Newer notifications showed up before the comment did....
