I use google adsense on my own blogs and make over $100.00 per month on them. I put my adsense ID in the settings here for my hubs.
After 6 hubs I have not had one single click! Granted my hubs are not big page view ones, but not even one click? I've even had friends joke with me that they went to my hubs and clicked on my google ads.
So something is not right. The first few characters of the code I put in the setting are:
ca-pub-281XXXXXXXXX,,,
Does that look like the right code I should have put in? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
The number looks alright to me, Bill.
Could it be that your ads are being clicked during the 40% of the time that belongs wholly to Hubpages and so no clicks will be registered to you?
Anyway, tell your friends never to click your ads, as you could lose your adsense account that way and it just isn't worth it.
First of all, you should make very clear to your friends that they should not intentionally click ads on your pages, as that can easily get your AdSense account banned.
After that important point, yes, your ID looks correctly implemented from our end, but it's perfectly reasonable that you haven't had any clicks yet. It depends on how high your hubs are ranking in search engines, and how much outside traffic you're getting. Try getting a few backlinks (without spamming people!) on good sites, and keep on plugging away at writing new, informative hubs. The clicks will come.
Bill, I didn't get my first click until near the end of the second month, I think. I was so happy!
Of course, if you have a lot of traffic, then never mind.
Thanks everyone. I guess I just don't have enough traffic yet. I get as much traffic per DAY on my own sites than the total of all my hubs combined all time!
So that must be it. Yes, I have told my friends not to help by clicking my ads. You always have some that try to help without knowing the damage they could do. Thanks again!
How do you folks know what your Hubpages Adsense earnings are? Do you set up a specific Adsense channel for your hubs, and if so how do you modify the ca-pub-281xxxxxxx number so that it's for the correct Adsense channel?
DB:
You can add a URL channel for hubpages.com to your AdSense account and it will monitor your earnings from all your hubs, or you can add each hub individually as a seperate channel. You do not need to modify anything with your ID number.
mel22 a hubber, made this for a forum discussion...its now top ranked in google images!
Also keep in mind that much of your initial traffic here on hubpages is from members here who are not likely to click ads...once you start driving traffic here from outside sources you should see some activity...I also have 2 hubs, one I just published about 5 minutes ago, about analytics, this is a great way to track all of the info including clicks.
Wow thanks for the info there on my pic, but of course I must give credit where credit is due since you had the original idea and showed me how. Thanks Sunforged for the sharing the know how. I had no idea my pic was top ranked on Google. Thanks again as the idea was just an update of your original post.

Although I do not have many hubs I put them together the best I can.But now having a couple of thousand views combined, I am thinking I have to be doing something wrong. Recently I have become more involved / active on hubpages so I hope to see a change. Can anyone check out maybe one or two hubs...

Because of some technical problems with the Google AdSense API, since Thursday evening you can not associate or create a new Google AdSense account through the HubPages Affiliate Settings Page. If you try, the error you see will say an internal error occurred, which indicates a problem in...

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no idea...
