I find I have a problem
It's driving me round the bend.
So as they say on millionaire.
Time to call a friend.
When anyone tries to find me on a google search by searching drylen@hubpages there is no result.
I am able to do this with other hubbers accounts. What could be the problem?
Hi there,
Okay, you've only been here three weeks. In other words, you are not yet an established writer. I expect the search term will appear in results pretty soon.
Also, no one searches for a hubber's name when looking for articles. They generally search by topic and title. That's why we are encouraged to title our work to be found by search engines.
I just searched on 'Charlie Halliday at Hubpages' and you are right there at the fourth result with your poem, 'That Illusive Last Piece'
Thanks for your reply.
The question was not for random searches by people for articles or topics.
A friend asked where she could see my poems. I had to give her the long winded approach, of searching for a particular one. After accessing the poem, click on my name, then my profile, to see all my articles.
Obviously in this scenario, to search username at hubpages is a lot quicker, and was the reason for the question
drylen@hubpages works for me when I do a search. Also https://hubpages.com/@drylen
Thanks eubbug.
Just found out I can get it when searching on google, I was searching on Microsoft edge.
Charlie, if you want to give your friends a quick way to find your poems, why are you telling them to search with a search engine? Just give them the link to your profile page and tell them to paste it into their browser.
In addition, If you include the link in an email, most computers and smart phones will let them click the link directly in the email.
I just tried it...i gad no problem finding you.
I also typed in drylen on hubpages...this works too!

Does anyone ever find HubPages via searches?I ask because I've personally only found one article via Google search (two if you count the landing page when I was looking for a place to self publish). Other than that, everything I look at on HubPages is because I know it's here. When I come to do my...

I recently started using Jaaxy, and I love it. A hub is first on page 1 with my keywords, beating two medical sites. Jaaxy is so easy to use, but I no longer can use it free, so will have to pay. It does a simple analysis to figure if you have a chance with your keywords to beat other sites.

So after getting fed up with the freelancing website I was working for I started searching around for a new place to write for. So I found Hubpages, and after reading through the user guide (ok I'll admit, I read the first five chapters and skimmed the rest)it looks slightly promising and a little...

If we only produce content that people are searching for, will this lead to better quality content ? Will this lead to the growth of the knowledge base? How will new knowledge enter the mainstream if content is only developed to satisfy current demand?
