Hey, so I've been trying to get my first hub published. I think it's researched well-enough and has useful content but it was just rejected. Submitted the article again. Can someone check it out and let me know if I'm doing something wrong?

That's strange - it looks like a perfectly good article to me.
Remove the FDA link in the very first sentence. HubPages does not want you sending reader off the site so fast. Add it as a reference at the end of the article.
Remove the bold text.
Don't mention one producer by name. It looks like you are promoting it.
Try those things and see if it passes.
I have six dogs on a raw food diet so this was interesting to me
Thanks a lot! I'm actually a professional freeance writer and the rejection was quite odd to me as well given that I've been doing this for a while now, lol!
I actually had a segment in the end on the best raw foods (Amazon affiliate links) Removed the whole thing since I thought that must be causing the problem. Had linked out to the producer that you mentioned, removed that as well. I'll probably remove their name now and then resubmit.
Mmm... you can't promote on HP at all. You could have one Amazon link (I recommend a in-text link, rather than an Amazon capsule). But you have to explain that you feed your dog on that brand and why. Any Amazon product must be integral to the article and you have to demonstrate a familiarity with it.
